If you had read the rest of SparkleSatinE's post, you'd have seen (quite clearly) that I was debunking the AOL theories.

Haven't posted in a while, but there's been a surge of activity and I think it's time for me to stir the pot a little. A lot of people in the past have mentioned this, but recently a post or two has made me want to retaliate against the lawsuit theory. Sure, this is a possibility ...but not bloody l...

Wow, we're off topic... I kind of want to ask if big-o can sell/offer the info to MAKE the programme to another programmer & then let that company tweak and whatnot to make it their own. Of course, this would have to be done with no records...but since it's free, it shouldn't be an ownership iss...

Guys, this is pretty obvious at this point.

Big-O is NOT releasing aim+ 3.0, open source or otherwise.

They've said they don't want to do this SEVERAL times. So there is word, just not the word you want to hear.

Have you tried Trillian ? It's really not that bad. GAIM is basically still beta, so it's not surprising that it'd crash a bit. My problem with GAIM is that it's corrupting files (so windows says)... LIBGDK-WIn32-2.0-02.dll was a file that it said it corrupted and then GAIM crashed. so redownload i...

Beh. AOL just needs a chunk cut out of them. They're HORRIBLE programmers and write a terrible programme...

I'm against Microsoft too, so if anyone comes up with ways around that (that people USE...poor Linux. So left in the dust), let me know! ;)

Kate, Let's see if your friends call you a weirdo if you take either one of those skills (theater or computers) and turn them into a profitable career. Except for those individuals who straightened out their lives and went on to become lawyers and doctors, most of those people that used to pick on ...

Kate and everyone else, Is there any reason why you must quite using AIM+ and the pre-5.0 version of AOL Instant Messenger. I am perfectly happy using the older version. They typing indicator is the only thing that would've really motivated me to upgrade. Themes and a new smilies aren't enough for ...

Alright, GAIM is pissing me off.

It won't load fonts, which makes it crash (a dos window pops up & says a bunch of crap and then when I close the dos window, BAM, Gaim is gone)

It crashes randomly on it's own....

I really like the programme, but...It's crashing a lot kids.

Thanks Kate, I have heard myself called a geek before and it be considered a compliment (but mostly in the surroundings of my fellow code jockeys), but I wasn't sure if that was how they intended it here. That is why I asked. If it was meant as an insult. Being called a geek started bothering me le...

You're an incredible witch. Just because someone knows what he/she is talking about does not give you grounds to call them a geek. That was seriously rude.
