That's releasing AIM+, obvisiously the harressment had something to do with someone asking (appearently, pretty forcefully) that AIM+ 3 not be released at all.

Kate and everyone else, Is there any reason why you must quite using AIM+ and the pre-5.0 version of AOL Instant Messenger. I am perfectly happy using the older version. They typing indicator is the only thing that would've really motivated me to upgrade. Themes and a new smilies aren't enough for ...

GAIM for Windows is currently alpha. That means it's not devolped well enough to even call it a beta yet. Once it's actually usable, I might try it if AIM+ for AIM 5.x isn't out. Someone actually types in completes sentences on AIM? I usually don't unless the person I'm talking to has already said &...

After reading all this, I have a few thoughts: 1) What happened to the forums a few days before the release? 2) What happened with the website the day of the release? 3) Why are we being held so in the dark about what's really going on? I know I'm being a little insensitive and blunt, but these que...

I just have one question. If AIM+ 3.0 was already made and done and made ready for release on Dec 11, why can't you just release it? It was done and ready anyway. It probably wasn't made and still isn't made. They set Dec 11 as a deadline for themselves to finish AIM+ 3.0. They were unable to meet ...

Open source?

If you aren't going to continue devolpment (after AIM 5 support) could you please release the source code (under [L]GPL?) and your notes on how AIM works? Then those of the community who know enough to work on it and have the time to do so could continue the effort.

It's a unix/linux based server, that passwd file is just a list of users, their user number, and their user group number. The passwords are stored encrypted somewhere else, different systems put them in different places.

If a coordinate is stored as one number, which makes no sense on a system that supports more than one res, then it's just counting from top-left, going all the way across then starting on the left-most pixel of the next line. Can you point out where the key is or at least say what it is on your comp...

Well, that's the only way that might work, but you would need a list of every AIM server because it will probably try more than one before giving up. Currently the only AIM connection I have is listed as ads.web.aol.com doing a nslookup on that I get: Server: dhcp69.srv.hcvlny.cv.net (that's my ISP'...
