What happens if I have an AIM only account say... MrSmith1234 and someone trys to sign up on AOL with MrSmith1234 ?

A friend of mine signed up and used her AIM account ad her AOL account name and it seemed to let her, though we weren't sure if someone could effectively 'steal' someone that way...

I'm pretty sure that it un-aways you when you talk in a direct connect mode, too... perhaps that is software based and not server based as you should be sending directly to the individual. Well it could be coded so that you have the usual list and one on the top or the bottom that says "Random." And by selecting that one it'll be random, otherwise you could select "Attending Big-O Software Worship Services" or "Eating Sardines" respectively.
