http://www.observers.net/AD-lessAIM.html you have to turn off the ADVERT.OCM file load in the aol.odl file and rename it the only difference i found was that my advert.ocm was advert.oc_ which i renamed to advert.old .....instructions from the site... Using a text editor (notepad is fine), open aim....

i found the advert removal util - ran it and the ad's stopped showing - good - but the stupid movie trailers that they added still ran! - it will kick off with sound, etc - this means that the ads are still there i just can't see them - how can i completely remove the advertisement section from AIM?...
