Your color mode is not correct in the custom loading image. It must be in 256 colors and a bitmap if I'm not mistaken. Also make sure it is the same size (dimensions) as the old one and retains the correct file name.

Try querying the modem and see if it responds. Restarting normally fixes this problem. If worse comes to worse reins...

1] -- Yes, I do too. That would be nice. I can probably write the code for it if there isn't a premade hack... if I find some time that is. 2] -- Yep there is the egosearch although it doesn't work very well. 3] -- I agree... I thought only files that could be excuted could... Like exe bas and scr. When a file is opened by a program it is executed. Viruses often do nothing until their host file is accessed. A virus doesn't even necessarily need a host file if it is in a stream of processed data such as an email. Viruses...

The frontside bus actually doesn't have much to do with it. They are completely different architectures. Intel/AMD chips are CISC (complex instruction set computing) chips while Macs run on RISC (reduced instruction set computing) chips. CISC chips take extra time to decode instructions and run extr...

But proprietary hardware makes them cost more. Am I right or not? Thats the only down side to Macs that I can see. Macs can be a bit pricey yes, but if you have the money to invest in a highend mac workstation you'll more than make your money back I'm sure. If you compare a PC and a Mac of equivell...

The Macintosh OS and the software for Macs is efficient because of the proprietary hardware. People complain about the hardware but they don't understand it's purpose. On a PC software developers have to take into account that the users of their software could be using any hardware from any manufact...

The "steps" (stages) do not cheat software test results. A longer pipeline was used to perform better error checking and to optomize multimedia by providing a few extra instructions for the logic processor. A shorter pipeline greatly increases throughput, although not as efficiently.
