Good suggestion. I've often wanted more than the %n %t etc. This should be fairly easy to implement as long as the variables are easy enough to find.

I personally like the abbreviations. It saves time both typing and reading as mentioned. Now I hate it when people try and use alternate spellings: "how R U" etc. that gets under my skin but the abbreviations I like.

yeah this would be awesome...ie...im in college and my parents like to IM me/check my away messages. it would be cool if i could put up an away message for my friends that actually said where I was, like "partying at so and so's place" but my parents would see the message "writing a ...

Go into the "secrets" section of the site and look at the I think 2nd to last one. It shows two secret buttons. Pretty cool. Not very useful, but cool.

Well if you're going for the "ultra top secret" then I suppose it might work but I know that I personally wouldn't use it. Say I have encrytion on and 2 friends of mine have it on too. Well we're talking online and then someone else on my buddy list IMs me... well I want to be able to repl...

When you encrypt information you have to decrypt it on the other end. Adding an encrypter would terribly confuse things. If you had the encrypter turned on only people with a version of AIM+ that supports encryption and had it enabled would be able to recieve IMs from you. So everyone without the ne...

Your buddy icon is dependent on the AIM servers to be transfered and presented. One time my friend wanted to show me his new icon and it wouldn't load. His old one kept coming up. 3 days later it finally showed up.

That is a great idea. I hate how when I'm transfering a file the window stays in the taskbar. Maybe have a static system tray icon for when you are transfering so you know the transfer is sitll going. A mouse over will tell you the progress of your transfer(s). Just a thought.

maybe the messages could be grouped according to how you have your folders in your buddy list. The way I have my buddy list arranged is using folder with specific people in each, but having an option to drag the tabs to a different window or a new one would be good too... and maybe have a remember ...

Not very long for me I'm still on a crappy 56k. The longest I've seen is 14 days done by a friend of mine on his dorm connection. Don't remember how many hours over 14 but I must say that's pretty impressive.

Re: that's a great idea

could you also make it so that you can't type a response in a new window for those 2 seconds? because don't you hate it when you're trying to tell a friend that shaft is one bad motherf'er, and then a new window pops up and you accidently call your dad a motherf'er? (while technically true, it's st...

Re: sdfsadfasdfasdfqehr

doesn't winamp limit you to running one plugin at a time? because in that case, i would definitely rather have this as a part of AIM+. i am running a winamp plugin to improve sound now, and would not want to sacrifice the better sound quality to tell my buddies what i'm listening to. i definitely l...

I like the part about the winamp. Don't see much reason for the surfing (I know I wouldn't use it) but it's a neat idea none the less. I think a winamp plugin would take the smallest performance hit aside from using the winamp APIs that are running... but good luck figuring that out. Unless... hmm I...

any updates on this?

I've wanted this feature for a long time (even before I discovered AIM+) and would be a very happy camper if it could be implemented.

Any luck yet, or has it been attempted?
