For example, Bill Clinton was disbarred (or threatened to be disbarred) by Arkansas (I think) for his involvement in the White House Scandal. Yet, what he did, wasn't illegal (even though many people probably felt it...

its a person's thought of what is ethical that causes problems such as Enron and others. Deep down I believe those people knew what they were doing was unethical. It was so unethical it may be deemed illegal and thereby set precedents (sp?) that could be used by others. Alot of rationalization goes...

I don't know, but I am starting to wonder if the Internet is going to cause a need for more "globalized" laws. Prior to internet technologies it took some effort to perform criminal activity that affected people across multiple national borders. Now it is very easy to wreak criminal havoc ...

Since Axilla is the one with a penchant for legality (since he wants to become an attorney) I'm sure he might agree with me on this one....

I saw that one too, but I was mainly looking for something that might justify what Timeless' professor was talking about. I was also not sure of what Harris Interactive was referring to as "prestige". Anyways, that link you provided doesn't necessarily indicate that people feel Lawyers hav...

I'm not a big sports person unless you are talking about rugby....lol

But as far as the city goes, I'm not too fond of Dallas because all the good jobs are there instead of here....

Texas is just a stop along the way. I want to get back to North Carolina or Colorado.

But I think those languages (php and perl) are primarly used for web-based stuff in Windows (aka IIS) webservers, even though it could do more.

I don't know about PHP, but scripting languages like Perl are often used by Unix/Linux developers to do all kinds of system things that have nothing to do with the Web (http, FTP, etc). For example, I know someone that uses Perl to write a Unix script that retrieves data from an Oracle database and ...

I think It'd be fun at the same time. It is fun up until the day occurs when your project manager tells you to put out inferior code because you have a deadline to meet and there is no way you are going to let your competition release their product before you because you can always release patches ...

To sum it up: you may like coding, but even so you may ending up coding something of no interest to you. I completely forgot about that one bit of information. The difference between a $60K and a $100K developer with the same skills is often things like what Master Jedi referred to. Almost everythi...

With my potential bonuses and stuff I have the potential to make 100K+, but my base salary is 60K. In order to make the 100K+ mark I have to average 12-14 hour days and sell alot of business (I'm a programming consultant). I also commanded that kind of base pay because I could prove I knew my stuff ...

I think most religions are also forgiving of not being able to figure out the complicated god thing... As long as your faith... Is in... err... Good faith... Unfortunately, that trend that you talk about Anthony is leading to much discord amongst the religions. The orthodox members of a faith are g...
