I'm running the latest version of IE6 with all the available patches from M$'s site installed.

Personally I don't care much for animated Avitars, they kind of annoy me. We get inundated with enough moving objects on the web (namely ADS)

I don't use an animated Avitar, but I noticed a few days ago that all the animation stopped on those members that do. I visit this board on two different Windows 2K machines (one at work and one I built) and a WinXP HE laptop.

What I think has happened is that your .jpg file type is no longer registered to use a specific program by default. What you can do is to open up a file window (for example, open up 'My Computer').
