To change that little notepad thing , you have edit your Aimres.dll , find it and replace it with the image you want.

I could but , how would that save hd space ? If I include some dll(s) , and each dll is about what 1.20 - 1.27mb. 5 dlls would be *6mb* plus that site has only 5.2 3255 dlls

Yeah less work for us eh.. Anyways I've updated the program it now supports all the builds , including 4.8 2790. One thing though , I could not find the Offset to buddylist bg color. Aim 4.8 has way too much FF FF FF's So if anyone knows it , please let me know , I will update it.

BuddyList Highlight color = F444
ScreenName(s) color = F433
Hover pop-up color = F4BD

I'm still looking for:

BuddyList bg color = xxxx

Thanx guys , I was wondering if any of you know the *Offests* ( hex #s ) to other builds , such us Aim 4.8 + UP. That will save me a lot of time and work

Someone asked to write a program that does all the changing for you. Well I did , it took me about 6 hours / 1 bottle of Dew and 1 pack of cigs. Anyways , it works only with *AIM 5.2 3277* for now. You can't change those 2 !!! >( Offline and Idle )< Aim is using your window's default gray color , in some cases its *ACA899* or *808080* , depends on which XP theme you are using.

Yeah I'm sure you can. But you can't you winsock.ocx thought , it does not work with .NET. You have to use System.Net.Sockets.

The only control you would need is MSWinsock.ocx.
and VB5 does open VB6 projects , you just have to edit the project file and change the version number to 6.0.
