actually, this doesnt really have anything to do with the active desktop part at all. Yes it does. When I don't have the active desktop enabled, there is no box around the text of my icons. There is a shadow to the text, but no color-box. how do you make an active desktop? is it like a gif or somet...

Desktop

I made myself an active desktop to change my desktop image every so often, the only thing is, the active desktop only works if there's an icon on the desktop. I put an icon on the desktop, and it isnt transparent...the icon text has a background, which totally screws up my image. Is there anyway aro...

I figured I'd post in this topic since it's semi-related to my problem. I have a folder on my server where I put pictures I like. How do I allow access to this folder directly, rather than making an index page which I would have to update every time I added a picture?

When I signed up, there were at least 20 people that posted all the time. It has now dwindled to maybe five people?? Did everyone just all of a sudden, get a life? What fun is that?

PHP Scripting

I have dial-up, and I can't always upload my PHP scripts to my website and test them out. Is there a way, short of installing a web server, to test my PHP scripts locally?

Time to break out the dictionary. Or.. you could download a "password cracking" program. They just try to connect on the screen name with a bunch of different passwords. Of course, 99.9% of them don't compensate for the Rate Limiting, which screws up the whole process.
