another update for the ol DSL topic. finally bought a router, got the LAN set up, everything is smoking.
bought the Router: (d-link)
set it up, didn't work
called verizon, told me to call d link
called d link, told me to call verizon and set modem to bridge
verizon says the modem is already bridged
call back d link, talk to him for a good 45 min, and we try different things
find out, i was typing in the wrong user name for my ISP.
told the tech support that i'm a moron, and that i have it all hooked up.
the end.

haha, you big silly, you call support lines. hehe. i do the trial and error method until something brakes or i figure it out.

it was 11:30, trial and error was not a option, i was in " i wanted this done 15min ago" mode.

i wouldnt call support lines unless i was in the "i want to piss on whoever invented this" mode
