It might be because of your screensaver settings.

Uncheck: "On resumre, display Welcome Screen"

it logs u out or restarts?
if it logs u out, does it go directly to the welcome screen and u log bak in?
does it lock your computer or log you out completely? as if when you log bak on you have to wait for everything to start up again?

hmm, thats really weird. try doing this:

go 2 add/remove and check 2 c if theres nething bout nVidia drivers. remove it if u c nething like that. then, go 2 device manager and remove the display adapter. restart your computer into safe mode and install drivers manually from the cd (or extract the drivers you downloaded form nvidias website and use those). after you do that, restart your computer bak 2 normal and check 2 c if it logs you out and if u can use a screensaver

Not true. I never unistall old drivers before installing new ones. And my computer runs perfectly fine.

Besides.."normally" when you goto install newer versions, it's the same files, just rewritten or fixed for bugs and such. So it'll do the same thing as with anything you goto install -- which is just rewrite the old files with new files. No harm done that I can see.

Yes and No.

The statement I made above .. I'm talking about my Windows 98 box. Which there are no Admin rights because there's no accounts to manage.
BUT -- I have also done it on my Windows 2000 box when I had accounts managed on there, and it worked fine as well. So I stand by my point.
