ObjectDock/Quick Launch Replacement

Post by nybbles »

I'm looking for something to replace ObjectDock or the Quick Launch bar. I have so many programs that I use on a regular basis and would like something like ObjectDock, but can have pop-out menus for each category of items.

For example:

Office Apps --> Word, Visio, Photoshop, etc.
Internet --> IE, Outlook, AIM, etc.

Basically a miniature start-menu that is customizable completely as to what's in it that will pop out and autohide to the any side of the screen.

Anybody know of anything that's like that (preferably free).

I use a program called TrueLaunchBar. It basically works in conjunction with the Quick Launch bar. It also allows you to use plugins and such from within the bar. I happen to love it.

I like it too, I'm going to shell out the $20 too. That is so cool! Thanx, just what I was looking for!

Looks like a nice program. But I do not use enough programs to pay 20$ for it.

The winamp plugin makes me cream my pants...if I can make some money selling my voucher for the Wisconsin vs Ohio State game, I'm buying this.

Thanks for the link dadink, that's pretty badass looking. I'm gonna download it and give it a whirl, hopefully I can do what I want without needing to register :(

That's how I had it set up on my computer. I use it like OS X's Dock.
