That's my key. Go to File->Preferences->Network->Public Keys and add it. Then close that and go to View-> network status. Put darkforcesjedi.no-ip.com:1337 in the box and click the icon to connect.

If you're on a firewall, go to File->Preferences->Network->Ip Addresses and enable the "force incoming ip addresses..." option. Put the external IP address in the box (the ip address of the public side of your router). In your router's setup, set up your computer as a virtual server on port 1337.

A program created by the head guy of Nullsoft (before he left). This program was actually one of the main reasons he left AOL.

It is a file sharing program that is quite secure... You can only become part of a network if you can get someone's key in the network. This of course (unless you have someone that trusts too many others) prevents the likes of the RIAA from being able to pry about.

It only supports 50 users (once again security), and you can use it as a small, but useful IM program.

It was posted on a AOL sever (I forget where exactly), and AOL got very upset for odvious reasons, and took it down... Called it illegal to have (Um... It was released under the GPL in the first place ). People spread it around anyways.

The program is now on source forge.

It was created by Justin Frankel, who's left Nullsoft because of "Creative Differences" over the creation of Winamp by AOL who currently owns Nullsoft.

Waste was actually going to be another program created by the Nullsoft team, but when AOL found out, (Since File sharing of certain media is illegal), they had it pulled from the servers. It was up for about a week, if that.. which quite a few people happened to download it. It spread quite quickly. And the rest is already quoted..
