Leaving on a laptop

I have a quetoin. How long is leaving on a laptop with out turning it off going to long. Right now I have had my laptop on for over 2.5 days so far with out a reboot (which surpises me proble going to do one tommorrow to clean out any memore leaks that have built up. But for pratical reason my laptop has not been turned off for over 3 days now (rebooted but not turned off).
My questoin is this bad. Running my laptop like a desktop and never turning it off

as long as its plugged in it shouldnt matter

i dont have a laptop but if i were u and if that laptop had a desktop processor in it, then i would turn it off when its not needed.

My processor idles down to 75% when not in use... err full use

well it is an underclock processor is my only guess for dealling with heat. Oddly enough the thing stays cooler than most laptops. Heck the air coming out of it is just warm. Most of the componats in the laptop are moble. Hopefully I can justify building a desktop this summer to take over the job of computing for me and the laptop is laptops are best for moble computing
