On this laptop: 2 days 16 hours and 42 seconds (Yes that's a real exact time).

On my other computer it was like 2 weeks.

My Linux box here has been on for about 2 months..
With a minor restart the other day because Road Runner decided to make our IP expire..

Something tells me that you didn't have to restart to get a new IP...

Well actually, yes an no.

We were assigned a new IP, but since my computer is on all the time... it was still using the old IP, and also the old network IP. (for some reason that likes to change too).

Anywhoo... because the IP changed, and my computer was still on the old one, Apache freaked out and my Website went down.

I probably could've just logged out, and back in again, but I figured I'd do a restart just to flush all the memory and start clean again... also because I was having a few minor problems with configs I was playing with. (And restarting actually fixed those problems)

On windows there is a nifty program called "Windows Uptime". Gives the average uptime... The longest... The shortest... How long the computer is idle (and average)... How long long it is down...

THe total uptime...

Very cool and very small. Big in the memory footprint though.

1 Week 3 Days 3 Hours 15 Minutes 35 Seconds

That's for my system since I rebuilt it.
