Let me get this straight.

You want to have a webcam running and upload it to the internet...

I don't know of any programs that do this. I would look into Nullsoft though as I know that they have streaming video feeds, but I can't stream video on ShoutCast, so it may be a bit more complicated.

I know that they have them out there, I've seen quite a lot of them, some of the programs are even like motion activated that they'll email you if your camera sees some movement..

the problem is whether they work as well as they say they do and whether someone wants to spend the money on them..

If you PayPal me some money.. I'll go out and buy one.
There's this little business down the road from me called Spy Electronics. They have all kinds of neat little toys in there.

Most of the people that go in there ...are adults trying to peep on their spouses / significant others. (most likely to see if their cheating or not).

I believe XP has this built in...my friend used to have a 24 hour camera in his dorm room.

I remeber reading something about this a while again. a trick to help out camara is to make them run off a "web server" Basicly as far as the computer is consered it just a web server but in relate it is no really broad casting to the web. This trick sped up the camra and reduced the processor load durmatily

i believe what would suit your purpose very nicely would be something called ChillCam.

its what i use.

i run it and have it save a local jpg to my drive every 10 seconds.

you could do that or just leave it with a window of whats on the cam...... has a crapload of stuff in.... not jsut one or two things.

google it cause i dont remember the site off the top of my head.

and btw.... if you want it, i have the version that isnt a Trial version. ill give it to ya, but i dont wanna post it here cause everyone would downbload it off my server

Actually, a friend of mine has a program that came with his webcam for the exact purpose of making sure no one is in your room. It runs a stream, but doesn't save unless there is enough motion in the view of the cam. You can set how much motion is too much, have it take pictures, or video as long as there is motion. Its great, I'll find out the name and post back here.
