DSL?
I'm gonna pay for it myself instead of my parents, so I was just wondering which DSL or Cable services are best. And how much it would cost for setup, etc.

It really depends on your location, what is offered, etc.
Around here, Best Buy has a really good deal if you sign up with Charter cable internet service through them. Mail in rebate on the modem, etc.

Having used both (but unless you live where I do... Well it could be a lot diffrent)...
I have cable at home, and DSL at work...
The DSL is just too slow. I mean it is fast, but when I compare it to cable... UGH...
Then again our cable I believe is pretty fast for the price/overall (3 mbps)...
The only issue I have had however is tech issues with cable, but now I'm talking about the company and not the type of service - Then again I'm a lot more prone to notice down time at home then at work - and at work it's  business class DLS .
I pick my cable - Road Runner is awesome
If you really want the low down though you should head over to the www.dslreports.com forums.
