Big-O Software

i want to be able to connect 2 computers using a cross over cable. and i dont know whotw to. i have a windows xp desk top and a laptop that is also a windows xp. what can i do? how do i do it i allready have the cable all i need to know is how to use it

get a cross over and plug it into both computer's ethernet cards. i dont think u need to turn off dhcp since windows will give u 1 of those weird 169.!??!?! ips, but that should b it.

For some reason I think she want's Internet on both....
