This problem has been reported all over this forum. It seems to be the general concensus that this is an AIM bug not and AIM+ bug. The problem seems to go away if you go to a version prior to the latest.

I haven't upgraded do 5.x, yet. I'm still on good, ole stable 4.8 :).

I've been thinking actually...

I dunno if anybody's gotten the error running AIM without AIM+, but isn't it a possiblilty that AIM+ could be conflicting with the latest build of AIM?

You may be one of the lucky ones, Rob.

From what I'm gathering is that this C++ Error is being experienced by quite a few people.

Maybe when people are starting to report this error we should request information like what operating system they are running and what service packs they have (i.e. Win2k SP1). You never know, M$ may have broke something with one of their Service Packs

Yeah the 5.2.3255,3277,3281 versions cause that error.

I've been through all of them and each time I've gone back to 5.2.3139 for multiple reasons other than that error.

I'm getting this same error. Every few minutes I get it and I have to start Aim+ over again. I realize it's a problem with AIM according to everyone else. Is there somewhere I can go to download a previous version of AIM where this problem doesn't happen? Also, does anyone know when AIM intends to correct this bug?

..you don't have to post the same exact thing in three places. One of the three would've been fine.
