Selecting (highlighting) text in an IM/Chat window

I thought I had this fixed in 2.1 - but it still happens, just less often.
When it does, it's still as maddening as ever.

yeah.....was wondering why it was listed as bugfixed but was still broken....
anyways i have some things that may be of some help:
1) selecting and clicking-to-move-the-blinky-cursor works just fine on the last line of wordwrapped lines, and lines that dont take up more than 1 line (confusing? sorry its almost 4am)
2) when clicking on any but the last line of a wordwrapped line, it acts as if the mouse was clicked at that exact X coordinate, just with a greater Y coordinate...
3) after moving the text-cursor to about the right place you can use the keyboard to select (arrow keys while holding down shift if anyones unfamiliar with the keyboard "shortcuts") what you wanted to select with the mouse....actually i like the keyboard better but thats me ;)

Well, I thought I had it fixed when I wrote that. I quickly realized that it wasn't, but I did lessen the problem, sometimes it doesn't happen (unlike 1.0, where it always happens
).
I should be able to fix this pretty soon, though - I hope it's not too annoying until then..

It doesn't always happen, let me know if it happens again after you've used the new AIM beta for a while.

wow I didn't realize that this was actually a bug, I asked a few other people and they said they didn't have any problems. Wonder why it only affects some people, and not all the time.

oh yeah that annoys me so much it happens to me a lot i am running win 2k and aim 4.8.2790 it annoys me soo much but thank god it doens happen all the time

It's really annoying, especially when I'm trying to click a link. I have to maximize the window so all the text will fit on one line before the link will work (unless the link is on the last line of the message).
