Buddy list color changing

Example: Image

Using winhex for hex editing the buddyui.ocm file, you can change colors starting at these offsets:

Highlight color - 385A
Background of hover pop-up color - 38E0
Buddy color - 3846

I want to find the color of the text in the hover pop-up, but since its black, finding "000000" is really hard.

I also wanna change the color of the background of the buddies, so I can have the buddy names red and the background black.

(and yes I'm also posting this on jdennis for those who read that)

Yes I know, but that doesn't explain how to do anything. The image Robpo had, which is pretty much what I want, was done in paint.

Buddylist bgcolor offset is 08A8. In addition to changing the hex code, you need to delete Bitmap 273 from AimRes.dll If anyone finds the codes to change the tooltip text color, or the offline/idle buddy color, it would be greatly appreciated if they'd post it :D

:/ I don't know what the deal is, but sometimes the buddyui.ocm file acts just plain gay and NOTHING in the 3xxx locations show up. I know for a fact that's where I've already changed things around in the past yet it all shows as 00 everywhere...I think AIM just likes to be gay about small things like that too...I'm sure if I restart the computer then it will show up again :/

I posted this on another forum, but applies here...make sure that offsets are in hexidecimal and not decimal (green arrow)

Also, does anyone know what the offset is for the color of idle buddies and the color of the text in the hover popup window?

You can't change those 2 !!! >( Offline and Idle )< Aim is using your window's default gray color , in some cases its *ACA899* or *808080* , depends on which XP theme you are using.
