Do not automatically stop playing Animated Icons

Post by lacir »

Simple yet nice :) I wouldn't mind having the icon keep moving..
Just another check in the preferences, so why not? :)

to solve the problem of it stop playing..... we need to find out exactly it stops.

I know it just doesnt do it after a given amount of time, becasue ive had windows open forever and sometimes they never stop playing, sometimes they do.

Also a thing ive noticed is that when one stops playing, just about all of them stop playing (all IM windows)

NE1 know what causes it?

I thought it stopped after it had gone through a certain amount of laps. Some laps could take longer to complete then others (some laps may take a long time to complete as others might take a few seconds). About the "when one stops they all stop" I have not noticed this, but now that I think about it I think your right.

I'm pretty sure they all do stop when one stops. I don't mind much, in fact I'd rather them all be still. But most of my buddies icons arn't animated anyway.

what you can do to stop it from playing/keep it playing after it stopped is right click on the buddy icon and choose either "stop play" or "play" depending on what it is doing. Like aclauser said...i think it stops after a certain number of 'laps'...but i am not completely sure

WEll thats exactly the point. I'd rather have the option to keep the aim icons going rather than having to play them again. You might not like animated icons but some do, like myself, so would be a nice option :)
