AIM 5.0 Final Build 2938 Released

Looks like AOL finally got around to releasing the first non-beta version of AIM 5.0 ...

Yes, i have downloaded it and already made my own skin for it. Soon i will mess around with the AimRes.dll file to personalize it a little more. However AIM+ does not work with it. So maybe the people here at
Big-O can fix that because these AD's are annoying.

a new version of aim+ to put features on aim 5 would be nice! aim 5 sucks without aim+ features!

all i have to say is.. anytime data is sent from one machine to another, for instance the new Aim Expressions which send data client to client, there is a risk that the data contained is destructive. it won't be long before an exploit is released to somehow manipulate aim clients accepting aim expressions. i'm not gonna say i told ya so.. i'm just gonna say be careful.

Hey i downloaded aim 5.0 and i noticed aim+ doesnt work with it..Anyone know of a way i can get the old version back...i cant find any place to dl it...thanks

Well, let me just say that the cloning feature, the tranparent chat window and the history all still work for me and I downloaded the new AIM. It took my a while to start finding things but it worked for me. The only difference was I had to open a chat window to bring my pull down AIM+ options out... Honestly though, for now I'm fine. Thanks

I only really used aim+ for the cloning and it works for Aim 5.0

Well I'd like to upgrade to final but I haven't upgraded since 5.0.2867 because I'm afraid that my logging won't work. My logging works, but it doesn't sort by who has logged onto AIM, it jsut puts all the peoples' screen names into one folder (I try really hard and make sure that friends don't get on AIM+ on my computer.) I'm wondering if logging really does work for everybody but they don't bother to actually view the folder My viewer doesn't work, but it still logs. I do really think that most people only use the viewer and claim "My logging doesn't work." Well I hope AIM+ comes soon because I'm not going to chance upgrading and having to go back and then for some reason (I know it's not likeyl) it not work again with my old version.
