I have yet to even open the attachement in fear of it being a virus. So far I had delet 10 of the emails since they started coming last night

I havn't gotten one... but that just screams trojan. Either that or you have a weird girlfriend...

if its around 100 to 140 k, then its *cough* klez......... but i dont think it is.... i dont think 'goldfish' was one of the srtings it used as subject

I wont open most EXEs with out know exactly who it came from and why... But BATs are even worse as far as I figure.

I think that's Sir Cam. But definitely don't open it.

Edit: By the way, SirCam isn't always an executable. Sometimes it's distributed in a microsoft office document as a VBA script (still just as bad, because it functions just like an EXE) or as a script in other types of documents.

an scr is the old windows for,at of a screen saver. Screen savers are considered executable by windows, so if you run that it will also install the worm, assuming it is one, which it most likley is

you should go to this site, http://www.symantec.com, and search for that thing in the virus data base. also, do you know the address it is coming from?

Ok up date on the email. I have the address now (and I hope it the last time) I plan on blocking it from my inbox but you all my feel free to spam mail them to death.

the first addresses are

The biggest problem about all this emails is at 40k a peice they are really eatting up my inbox space and because I am out of town it harder for me to keep it clean. any body got some good ideas on how to stop the email.

Did you know that that yahoo address with the ".com.tw" is some sort of japanese site? Heh. http://tw.yahoo.com I went to it ..while on the US yahoo..and it kept me loggin in under the jap version.
