The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
It'll be out in March. What do you think about it?

I remeber when I first saw that picture in EGM... I have heard nothing but people complain about it. Its almost enough to make people not buy it in this day and age. Of course any one that still plays games on the NES or even SNES does not care about graphics. Just look at Golden Eye. Block faces and all it its still a top 5 game on the N64.

That to me is the biggest problem with games these days. If it doesn't have flasy graphics, it's not worth buying. A lot of people still don't understand that it doesn't take flashy graphics to make a game great. A good example of that for me is Aliens vs. Predator 2. That is one of the few games that I can't play for long simply because I get the sh1t scared out of me. That games has so much atmosphere that you will almost crap your pants when you hear a swarm of Alien Drones running at you, seeing their silohettes in the shadows like black water. It's very scary. Graphic-wise, they're okay--not incredible by today's standards.
It's a Zelda game. Has there really been a Zelda game that was terrible (not including Zelda II on NES)?

Graphics in games today are overrated. Good graphics do not make or brake a game.. But of course this is my opinion.. and there are many many people that would kill me for what I just said.
Great games that had crappy graphics.. just look at the N64. heh.. but also those were great graphics back in the day..

Well, look at Metroid Prime. Nintendo didn't develop it, but it's already the best game on that console and it's only been out for two months.aclauser wrote:I hope not. I also don't think it would be bad. I don't think Nintendo would release a bad Zelda game. Its one of their "babies".
Zelda has those same gameplay designs from the two games on N64, and those worked out perfectly. It does look promising.

Retro Studios 'helped' with development, but the game was still mostly designed by the guys at Nintendo.
