Insane!

Post by Anthony »

Okay you have to see this to even begin to believe it.

$69.99 for a gallon of ice cream. You have to be real desperate to pay that much. Maybe its just because any store I go into I can buy this stuff but still...

Its good, but no ice cream is worth that much... I thought you could get Perry's anywhere. I guess not.

I bet Ben & Jerry's sells for something close to that for a gallon of their ice cream. :o

Nope. If you look here you only get 6 Pints for $64.95. Once again insane, but even more so.

Lol, alright, but I did say close to $70. That's close isn't it?

Also, aren't 8 pints in a gallon?

Punkster is correct. There are 8 pints to a gallon. Using that logic the Perry's ice cream is ~$8.75/pint while the B&J ice cream is ~$10.83/pint. The price just seems so outrageous because the quantities are so large. A gallon of ice cream is a lot of ice cream. Plus, we are talking about what is considered premium grade ice cream. Personally I think B&J is a luxury purchase. Typically I only buy Blue Bell (which I think is only local to the Texas/Oklahoma area) and Breyers

Since I can go into Wegmens (local chain) and buy the Perry's for about $5.00 max I thought it was insane. The B&J is not inflated nearly as much as the Perry's is though.

Wegman's is in my city too, it's all over the county. Just thought I'd let you know. :D

Trust me I know... Rochester is their home, and they run all through out all the New England States. Also in the top 5 best places to work  , but this has nothing to do with being insane...

Well, a grocery store being one of the top five places to work is pretty insane. :D

Alot of the price on that ice cream is probably because they package it with some dry ice and mail it overnight lol... now that is what's crazy to me. I can drive across the street to my local grocery chain and buy icecream right now. Ordering it offline... haha that just cracks me up.

I guess if you used to be from the area and now live in a place that doesn't carry Perry Brand Ice Cream, you'd want to get your ice cream fix. This lets you order it and get it without having to drive to that area of the country
