(In reply to harra)

I can't contain myself when someone blatantly lies in front of me. I correct them on the spot reguardless of who they are and who else is present. I don't know if it's guts or just a sense of pride in my hard working mentality but no one will steel my well earned glory.

OK here my rant of the day I finily though of it.

I am gone for what 3 days and not I have over 100 new post here and i have to catch up on. I have 14 new messages in my inbow and out of all of those I some what only care about 2 of them and they are the mail list ones. For once I would like to get an email from a person that I know that now a god damn forward or a chain later. THose things are almost as bad as all the porn sites spam I get. I think the last time I got an email from some I cared about and that was not a forward was sometime durning the summer. For once I would like a friend to send me an email.

OH and dont even get me started on valitains.

(On a happy note my weekend was great I went sking for 3 days. My body is sorrow all over but I loved it)

To feed off of Timelessblur's rant about "friends" forwarding chain e-mails.....

I just get real annoyed at those people who forward known hoax messages:
  • There is no way to know how many times a message gets forwarded. So noone is going to get money or see some special thing pop up on your screen when the magic number of forwards is achieved.
  • There is no virus on my computer that has an icon looking like a teddy bear (it is actually an important file for internet browsing)
  • I don't need help from friends or family about the precense of some new and insidious computer virus. I trust my IT department to disseminate that information to me and I also read the tech news sites to know for myself what is out there.
  • I don't need to know about the latest phone scams from the British Virgin Islands. That one has been circulating for YEARS. I knew about that one in the early 90's!

I really hate it when MySQL gets overloaded and either incredibly slows down the website or crashes into oblivion :(.

I hate town plow trucks. It's bad enough that I had to shovel the two-plus feet of snow out of my driveway, but then I had to break through the literal wall of snow that the plow trucks put in front of my house. The whole shoveling job took about three hours--and I still have to shovel the walk up to the front door. The snow is still falling, so I'm gonna have to shovel more tomorrow. And I still didnt' shovel the driveway completely--I just shoveled enough so I could get my car out when I have to go to school/work tomorrow. I still gonna shovel up to the edges of the driveway AND dig out the mailbox.

I also going to laugh at you. In houston it never snows. I think the last time it snowed here it was 14 years ago and that was layer. Got to love never having to deal with shoving snow. (lot of rain though)

Yes. but us Houstonians get to deal with freezing rain every now and again. For those people who don't know how to drive on "black ice" (which are most Texans), it makes for DANGEROUS driving.

I hate idiot drivers in general especially those who blatently disregard traffic laws and never seem to get caught, but I know as soon as I start to go faster, or run a stop sign/light, I'd get pulled over

going on with Harra. I have to agree there are a lot of jack ass driver in houston. I do not mind the people who speed (hell I am one on the speeders) but when they start drive reckuly and weaving in and out of traffic I draw the line. They almost taken me out a few times. COME ON PEOPLE if you going to speed do not weave around the traffic that does not give you much time just go in the left lane and fly. Mine you the people doing 100 are kind of scaring when I was driving home from Bush Airport ( Houston InterContinal Airport) I was pass on I-45 buy a guy doing atleast 110. He past me like I was standing still and i was doing frecken 85 mph. (it was 10:30pm but still)

Here's a rant for you:

I [finally] got my new car yesterday. I've been loving it :cheesy: Well just 10 minutes ago I was on my way home from class and this lady pulled out right in front of me. She DID NOT EVEN LOOK she just pulled out. Freaking moron! Well thanks to my superhuman driving skills I didn't hit her but it was really really close. Then she kept saying "oh I'm sorry I'm sorry". Stupid woman driver. She'd better be sorry. If some idiot wrecked my car my 2nd day of driving it (or ever) I'd kill 'em. There is not a single scratch on that car. People should have to pass a competency test before being allowed to even sit in a drivers seat. This road is extremely high traffic being that it is the road that the college is on. It would be like blindly pulling out onto the interstate.

I was sitting at a stop light thins morning at 5:15am and this a-hole blows by me so fast my full-size truck (Toyota Tundra) started shaking. The speed limit was 40 and I'm sure he was going AT LEAST 55. The thing that royally pisses me off is that this guy does it all the time. I think I have been at this light at least 3 times a week and he comes blowing by. Granted it's a light that is on a timer rather than a sensor so it is red when nobody is coming in the other direction, but please. Someone could get killed at that speed.

15 over isn't that fast :) I took my new ride up to 100 last night on the interstate (speedometer reads 130). But running red lights isn't cool :-?
