HTML Editors

Post by insomica »

Are there any free HTML editors that just colorize the html tags. i have one but it expires in about 30days i remeber having one that was free but i cant remeber the name so i cant find it. i looked on downloads.com but i could not find any that where free.

the only one i could find is nottab light. but that runs out in 30 days too. its cool b/c it has all the html tags in the program. i think it would be good for newbies. like me

oh yeah does anyone know any sites or programs that teach .php. like a php editor.

It all depends on what I'm coding, but I always end up using both. I use dreamweaver for advanced coding and the stuff that is a pain to do by hand, but I use notepad too. Even in dreamweaver I type most of the code out myself.

I use crimson editor when I am changing HTML / PHP files. It does change the color of the text, and it's free. It even has a spell check (which I have not figured out yet...).

Sorry I don't have a link off hand but I'm pretty sure it's on hotfiles.com

I use Dreamweaver MX most of the time. For minor coding, I use Textpad.

Notpad for everything. For creating complex Table structures I use Dreamweaver 4 and/or MX.

I also like the way Dreamweaver has their Library built in, with HTML and CSS coding references and stuff.

You got spyware then (GAIN / GATOR)
They have no pop-ups or pop-unders. I visit that site frequently, and I never get advertisements.

By far the best text-based HTML editor I have used. Free and colorizes tags, just what you are looking for.
