Okay I was warning this person (with success) and then I got this error:
Warning of 'XxD4V1DxX' not allowed.
Note: Warning ICQ user is not allowed.
How in the world does that make any sence?

I think that instead of connecting through OSCAR you have it connecting through ICQ's server. This happens to me sometimes too, and I am connecting through ICQ.

It would be nice if everything logged into the ICQ server couldn't be warned. But then AOL and ICQ would have a HUGE Problem...

It does not suck we can not warn ICQ users... It actually makes a lot of sence if you take a few seconds to think about it... Even if you could warn a ICQ user it would not effect them in any way.

I'm not talking about chatting with ICQ users... I am talking about AIM users who login to login.icq.com instead of login.oscar.aol.com.

So what exactly does logging in through login.icq.com do??
Are there any adavantages? Or is this just something that AOL forgot to fix ?
I don't really think that AIM should be allowed to login through ICQ's network... but then again, it is the same company ...same network (sort of)

i dont know if this is true on a technical basis or not, but for some reason, it seems to be 'cleaner' when you use the icq login.... like, it seems a little speedier and just not as.... congested as aim..... but it may just be a coincedence that it seems like that....
i duno..... but yeah

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere here that they are the same network... You may not see it at first when you do a whois the first couple times, because they are set up to use diffrent namesevers for the same IP, but you will enventually see they are the same nameservers...
