aim buddylist background color

i got a new visual style for xp, its black. but the aim window isnt black. i tried 2 find out how, the prefs dont give me the option and i used reshack on aimres.dll and other files and no luck. ne1 know how i an change the color? this is was im wantin 2 do. i used paint..

btw i also tried 2 make an expression but the background color is the color of above and below the buddylist window

You could create a theme I believe... But then the text would still be black...

Yea, Thats What Happens when you only make a theme. You would think AOL would already have a feature like this... :-?

I believe you can save your buddylist and then edit the save file to get a different buddylist background color. I'm not exactly sure about what to edit, but you could start by looking for "window color" or something along those lines.

no i knew bout thatl but that changed the background color of the im box, not the buddy list

you could prolly just make a theme with a big picture of the color you want and put it as the background image for your buddylist

Just do what I did. Get rid of the buttons.

Yes you can change the background color. I have to refind the hex coordinates... but I'll post them later when I get a chance. I have to get to work right now...

ive spent about 2-3 hours changing "FFFFFF" to a different color to see if i can change the bgcolor...i got frustrated and gave up hehe;)

That's not what I want to change. Where all the screenames are, I want to change the background color.
