To correct timeless:

Though it may appear that your away message is sent to your buddy every time he/she sends you a message when message while away is enabled, your buddy only gets it the first time. Every time after that, it appears in your IM window only and is logged by the logger, but your buddy doesn't recieve it.

Okay, so it only happens to the person who's talking while their away...?

IE: I have an away message up. I'm IMing somebody. They only recieve the away message once. But I keep recieving it each time?

I was testting in on a clone screen name. If I replayed back after the away message was sent then it would re send out the message

I though of that but there a problem. Gateway messed up the install of XP so Limited acounts dont work. (Other wise they did not reformate so the ME refused to die. )

this guy i.e. http://www.sniip3r.tk/ has made a neat lil program that has good messaging while away, it will have an auto response feature soon, real soon, as for that other question, "wat will happen when u really r away" er somethin like that in most cases of aim, people only recieve away messages once or twice period
