In my case I have a 60 GB HD... And I don't use all the space, but the laptop is my main (and really my only (I don't count the one I was using up until this point) computer that I use.

(36 GBs currently free)

I save all my installs for programs I like.
I also have a bunch of ISOs for games, and programs.. in case my cd's get scratched and become non-usuable.

Also having about 30gigs of mp3s takes up quite a bit of space.

And I have a bunch of harddrives.
1-120gig , 1-80gig , 1-30gig and a 10gig which i gave to a friend cause i didnt need it anymore..

Well, I can see that. I just burn all my backed-up install files to CD's, and I keep my MP3s on CD's (and soon my iPod, when it arrives tomorrow :) ). I always forget that most people have big hard drives and leave everything on there.

My dad's got a 200 GB hard drive he got for $36 and a 120 GB he got for free. He's also got a 30GB hd. I dunno why. He doesn't use nearly all tat space. Eventually it'll be for a media server (Rip all our DVDs and share them on the network).

I'm only using about 10GB of space on this computer and I've had it since last November.

I have over 100GB of music (many albums, live concerts). Most seasons of Simpsons, King of the Hill, Futurama, and all of Family Guy. Also this show I just found out about called 'The Office'

Cool :D Well, personally I love ZipZoomFly (formerlyy Googlegear) because they're so trustworthy and sell retail products at rock bottom prices. They have free 2nd day shipping on just about everything, and very few states are required to pay taxes :D :D

That would be a great drive for ya...hopefully you have USB 2.0, if not, it is backwards comatible.

To check out all the external drives they have to offer, check this next link-
