As far as I know it can only be accomplished with 3rd party applications.

I don't know how to change the settings.

I know you can do it if it's a normal user account because I have seen it at Cingular on their YahooDSL computer.

couldn't you just write a script for it ? similar to the way you can disable right clicks on a website?

I'm not too sure of XP though, but I know for a fact that Windows 98, you could just edit those hidden "*.htt" files inside a folder... and they were basically a mini webpage which displayed everything in your folders (all the way down to the HTML, CSS and JS.)

So just add one of those 'non-right-click' scripts in the file with it .. if XP still uses those, and it should be good to go?

Even if that would work you would still have the problem of the desktop, and taskbar.

Desktop is the same thing as any other folder.
It's only difference is that it's also displayed to the use through a fancy GUI deal.

The desktop folder for 98 was C:\Windows\Desktop\
Not sure about 2K/NT/XP - those were also more folders deep...you had those settings folders and stuff.

My question is, why do you want to disable right-clicking?

Actually (and I could very much be wrong) I think a apple mouse would work on a Windows PC... ;)
