help please

- Operating System: XP
- Version of AIM: 5.2

How can I get my sounds to work? None of the posts ive seen on the sound problems of AIM+ have helped me. I would have posted this in the bug problem forum, but its locked for who knows what reason. thanks.

well go to prefs for AIM and go to im/chat and click on sounds and put them on.

With AIM+ the first time you run it the sound are set to just beeps. You just have to go in and find the sound files on you computer and set them up and they will work fine

I've done that though, and it resets as soon as I close my AIM Preferences.

If you don't care for what features of aim you have, I'd say downgrade to aim 4.8 or just deal with the sounds not working. (sorry if it seems a little harsh... not meant to)

make sure you hit apply first then close the window hitting OK does not always clear it up. Also if you are using 5.x the sound will not work on clones
