middle_man has some of its own exclusive features and deadaim has some as well. middle_man was the first plugin to use /commands*, the first plugin to incorporate the"removeme" feature, and the first plugin to allow invisibility (aka ghosting) on any version of AIM...not just the 5.5 series...4.8, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2. DeadAIM copied middle_man with the removeme feature (again, plugin**, I'm fully aware of cool buddy...or whatever that 4 year old program is called), and they're the reason that AOL disabled that feature (in my*** opinion).
*Otsego didn't include this until after middle_man declared the feature...in my*** opinion
**meaning that you can use nearly any version of AIM that you want, have all the features of the AIM version you want, and not have to open up a separate program.
***this does not represent the middle_man creators' opinions
