Final Cut Pro 4 is rather nice, albeit a bit pricey. I'd consider buying Final Cut Express though. Back in HS, I worked at at TV Studio, they used FCP1.25 (that was the latest and greatest at the time). I've looked at FCE and it's basically FCP2.0 without some of the compatibility with different vi...

Yeah, I use Knoppix. It's great for newbies who just want to try Linux to see what it's about. You can't actually install it. They let you download an ISO which you obviously burn to a CD. It runs everything off the CD (amazingly fast for that, I have to say). It never touches your hard drive, so th...

Now that I think about it, the only old programs that I use with Basilisk, are just games and they run fine on Basilisk. However, I do want OS X so that I can use Final Cut Pro, since I really need to get a good editing system....nybbles wrote:So basically, I'd have to continue using BasiliskII

Well, sort of... Until recently, you could boot to OS 9, but with newer Macs you can't. As for Classic, it's...well, I guess you could say it's a runtime environment for OS 9, in OS X. Kind of like SheepShaver for BeOS (which allowed a BeOS PPC-based system with the Mac OS installed to run the Mac ...

I meant through their Classic environment (which is they have OS 9 installed) and are doing a simultaneous boot. Or, is this not how classic works? When I tried OS X with a OS 9 classic program that's what it seemed to be doing. I mean OS X comes with OS 9...., but OS 9 cannot run on a x86 arch. I'd...

I've heard other rumors about Apple and Intel.... I'd be in favor of either..., cuz, I've wanted to be able to dual boot X and XP for a while now. The only problem is, how would they get the OS 9 components to work with the new processor. Or would they just do a complete move from them. Because I do...

Merge Mod for 2.0.4
Hey all, I've finally figured out the bugs in which mods work with phpBB 2.0.4 . It took a long time, but I finally got it to work. But the Merge Mod on phpbbhacks.com does not work with 2.0.4. I attached a version that I found that works perfectly in 2.0.4 (on a heavily modded board). Plus this ver...

My apologies for plugging another program in your thread, but you might want to check out Glance . It's a freeware Outlook system tray add-on that I found had some very useful features. I used it for a long time when it was shareware, and all versions are now freeware, so they're definitely worth c...

Do I detect a bit of sarcasm there Jedi dude?? :D 5 Megs is a memory Hog??? No. I'm absolutely serious. That's more than a program of this sort needs (and probably should take); however, leaving the objects in memory makes the program take a lot less CPU time keeping synchronized with Outlook...

All the ones I've tried in the past didn't use Outlook's data, or were complete memory hogs, or had extremely ugly interfaces. This is a complete memory hog, just so you know. It keeps the Outlook objects active so it won't be a CPU hog. I'm running it now and it's using about 5 megs of RAM. (Writt...

I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like now. There are a few more things I want to do before I post the app. 1. Get full data from Events' description (right now I can only get text, I want to be able to get the formatting, images, etc. from them). 2. Add the tasks. 3. Add functions to cre...
