Do you work for GAIM or something, Shadow Spirit? No, I don't work for GAIM. I just thought it would be nice for people to know that there are alternatives with the features they're asking for. Maybe other programs, such as GAIM, could be used until Dec. 11th. Also, maybe someone could use these pr...

Good point Leah-la. Of course, if this feature were implemented, it would always be optional. GAIM achieves the effect you're looking for, although people still get the auto-response the first time. To close, all hail Lowtec! All you have to do is invite someone to a chatroom. Everyone else thinks y...

Although a good idea, I don't believe it's feasible. Even if you tricked AIM into reading the file as smaller than it really is, it would figure it out when it was sending the file. All communication is routed through AOL's servers or whatever before they send it to you. Unless of course you're dire...

Of many many things, I am thankful to be able to communicate with all of my friends and family on a regular basis through AIM and the internet, even though they may liv...

This is another feature found on GAIM. By the way Cass, there is a Windows port of GAIM now available. Not sure on how different it is from the Linux version, but it's there. What it does, is it sends a message to someone when they come online or come from away (I think). You can also set it to leav...

This function is included in the Windows port (only in alpha stage) of GAIM. I forget what they call it, but it expands both incoming and outgoing messages, and it also corrects minor common misspellings that you add to the list. Like, 'teh' to 'the' or 'ahve' to 'have.' I wish you could customize i...

Yeah, I wish AIM+ had this feature. It seems I won't be rotating my icons any time soon. I think there is most likely a compatibility issue with Windows XP. When I click on an icon to add, it does nothing. And when I click on the GIFs it reads (doesn't read JPGs, though you can make them your icon b...
