Thanks Anthony, but I seem to have tried everything. AIM just seems to be very selective on what sounds it lets others hear. I just need to know where the "official AIM sounds" folder is buried. I even tried the "search" in the start menu. I think if I could find this folder I co...

but I am clueless on how to use trillian pro 2.0. I like it but I dont see anywhere to change sounds or anything. Does anyone know where I could find a good tutorial. I have my buddy list imported from AIM, I just was wanting to tweak it the way I want.....Thanks!!!!

I posted earlier about using my own outgoing sounds in AIM 5.5 that others hear. The problem is that it tells me it is not an official AIM sound. I believe this so because I do not have it in the right folder, because it will also do that with other sounds (that actually are aim sounds). My problem ...

so will 4.8 let me do that? Can I intall 4.8 w/o removing 5.5? Seems like there is a lot you cannot do with versions 5+...........Thanks

Ive tried to place my own outgoing sound clip that I created. However, when I browse my files and select it it says "that is not an OFFICIAL AIM sound" and will not let me use it as my outgoing sound for others to hear. Is there any way around this, so that I can use these Ive created?

but lets say this is not a network at work...ie:one household to another

then all he would need to do is sign on her name and see who talks to him under her name, also while your in there save her buddy list and upload into yours................

all this talk about the girlfreind i believe is just a front. he should have just simply asked is there any way to veiw someone elses IMs (not by a logger) but by actually intercepting. may be possible if you knew the password, sign in on their screen name while they are signed on another computer. ...

how could someone intercept your IMs that you would even care if they read it or not. Wish I knew how to intercept someones. I know the password and all, but it does me no good if they are not on my computer (which logs all IMs)

I knew it controlled the time stamp, but this post talks about making a message come up that just tells the person I send the message to to press F2, then the html text I pasted will appear in their box. Just sounded like a neat trick. I couldnt makeit work though, and yes I turned off the timestamps.
