Ok.. that is AIM using 308,672K of virtual memory..not AIM+.

And why the hell do you have 4 instances of Winamp running?? You would get alot of memory back if you kill 3 of those.

Yes, compilation's primary purpose is to convert programming language code (say, C or C++) to "machine language" that the computer can understand.
