Away messages are not saved when you saved your preferences. I believe Away Messages are stored in the registry, so you have to copy them from there.

Not possible. Nothing is just "saved" when you reformat a hard drive, unless you specifically back it up.

I gotta go with the Honda Civic. Sure, it's not flashy or anything, but they're damn nice cars. They're well-made and don't need a lot of maintenance, and they get great gas mileage. They're cheap to maintain and have a good safety record.

If you have Win 2000 or XP and you lock your computer, AIM automatically puts an away message up, then takes it away when you unlock it.

And the ONE major thing that would absolutely make me switch, is if MAC became an open standard. By that meaning a non-proprietary system. I like to play with the hardware, upgrade as I see fit, I dont want to be limited to only MAC standards. But yep..thats my 2-cents 8) You must not be up-to-date...

You have the option to hide the taskbar button when the buddy list window is minimized... I don't think that's what you are asking, though.

I wouldn't mind being notified, via email, when a version of AIM+ that is compatible with AIM 5.0 comes out.

I always organize mine alphabetically. I find it easier to locate buddies that way (then again, I only have 60 buddies in one group on my list, so I can locate them easily no matter what!).
