This feature has been added for the next release of hkSFV. There are two right-click options when clicking on a file in the SFV: first is to "copy filename," second is to "copy path and filename."

Also, I'd like to point out that hkSFV is able to remember the files you've checked without resorting to modifying your SFV file. I know this isn't much of a big deal to most people, especially since most SFVs out there have already been ...

This feature has been implemented for the next release of hkSFV, and let me tell you, it is an AWESOME addition to the program. If you just need to check one file out of 15 in an SFV, and the rest previously checked as good, it will remember that they're ...

hkSFV32 is a program that creates and verifies .SFV files. .SFV files are used to verify file integrity. They basically record CRC information about one or many files. Then, after transferring them to another location, whether ...

HKSFV, uninstall?

I DL'ed HKSFV by mistake on my computer. I want to remove it. It removes everything EXCEPT for the file hkshlex.dll and I want it gone, but it gives me an error saying: Cannot delete hkshlex: access is denied. Make sure the disk ...

Nice one! Keep it up

This is a great piece of software, I used other sfv checkers but none were as intuative and easy to use as this one. I now tell everyone who asks about sfv files to use hkSFV.

... no plans at this time to charge for any of the programs available here. The name "Big-O" has nothing to do with the price of the AIM+, hkSFV, or anything else. You have AIM+, you didn't pay for it, it's free ... And why on earth would we try to trick someone into downloading a "free" ...

 I could do that, but I think we all know what that would look like!

Don't worry, though - AIM+ 2 received so much attention, that I've had no choice but to put hkSFV on the back burner again for a while.

Check for new version?

... again.. Almost all internet-aware apps do this now, and it's quite convenient for the user. But I know that when a non-internet application, like hkSFV32, does it, it can be a bit unsettling. It isn't that it is disruptive, it won't try to dial into the internet if you're offline, it's simply ...

When's the next version coming out? [Re: hkSFV 2.0]

I thought it fair to let anybody who's taking the time to read this know what's going on with hkSFV.. I started the first version in March of 2001, and the first public version was in August. My original vision for hkSFV32 was pretty limited, and it has already outgrown ...

Autoscroll comments during mass verification

When creating/checking multiple sfv's, it'd be nice if it was an option to have the comment pane scroll down to the comments of the SFV that hkSFV is actually working with..

Definitely a good feature, and it will be implemented into the next version.

Just for the record, hkSFV checks SFV files faster than QuickSFV, though :). QuickSFV seems faster because it can skip over previously checked good files. However, when it comes to raw speed, hkSFV is still the best.

File failing in hkSFV but passing in other programs

... I usually deal a lot with mp3s and when checking through all of my releases it seems as though the last file in some sfv files is failing with hkSFV but when I check it with another SFV checker it passes. Let me know if you want me to send you the failing files so you can duplicate it. Tell ...

File "Rename" Options (Case Changes)

Another idea would be to have hkSFV manually rename the files. I think this would be a bit harder to do, and I'm not sure how exactly you would do it. But it would save some time for me. Maybe you could have hkSFV do the SFV check on the ...

Agreed, this is a great idea. I constantly find myself opening .SFV files in notepad to copy the filename so I can rename altered filenames. I use hkSFV to check my .SFVs, so it only makes sense to use it when I need to fix renamed .mp3s!
