I knew I had seen this topic somewhere, but I guess it didn't click when I was scanning over the topics so I had created another post. To add onto this, it would be nice to be able to import away messages from a text file. I have a huge list of quotes and I've always wanted to be able to stick those...

Alright SlvrChaos, I see you are very protective of your seperate windows, but keep in mind that Big-O usually makes everything an *option* instead of something that you have to use. Gotta love these guys. Hmm I just realized that this smiley looks like my 7th grade math teacher  lol

The only problem that I see with that is what about all of the people (like me) who have relevant away messages. I could just imagine the reaction that I would get if someone messaged me when I was supposed to meet them at their house and got the away message of "Playing Quake2" or "S...

This would be a great feature if one of the big-o guys can figure out how to implement it. I've been pondering this myself, but I can't think of any feasible ways to do it. The only way I can think is if you can interrupt AIM before each sound is played and somehow change the way that the wav is rea...

I'm waiting for the big dogs to say something about this one. I'm not incredibly in tune with the innerworkings of the server that the official AIM client uses. And correct me if I'm wrong, but trillian doesn't connect to same one, and the server it uses does not support the same features such as di...

It would probably be weird to get used to at first. I'll be like "wtf happened to my list....." *30 seconds later* "oh yeah...". I think that this feature would be of some value though, and as always, just an option. :)

I'm starting to debate whether or not this even belongs in this forum anymore, but oh well here goes..... As Ryan said, there would be an option to disable this of course, but why not build in alt+tab support to tabbed windows, I thought this was a pretty obvious feature to include if it hasn't been...

I'd have to say that the longest I've ever been on AIM was 7 months. I had a linux box using my alternate screenname on a UPS and the only thing that caused me to restart was my DSL service went down for about 10 minutes. I wasn't using actual AIM, but tik instead at the time. My record for AIM in w...

I think Mr Zeebo hit this one on the head, this would satasfy both parties (spell checker and acronym auto-complete people). And I do admit that when I'm in a fast moving conversation, nothing is more annoying than having to go back and fix it to avoid looking stupid :P

Guest, whoever you are, why don't you register a nick? Anyways, I normally don't try go to off topic but there isn't another way to contact you. Tell me what kind of router you have, I might be able to help you with some of those disconnect problems. That used to happen to me and now I can just stay...

Yes that's true that it blocks everyone, but you can still see who is online. I think that there could be a workaround using this command. Here is what could be done. You sign online blocking everyone, then go into stealh mode and unblock everyone. AIM+ reads all these people online into memory and ...

I was going to post a new topic, but I see that *this feature has already been requested* :P I have always wanted to be able to block users by group, and think that the value in this feature has been overlooked. This is something I would really love to see in a future version of AIM+

I was sitting here thinking to myself....and I realized a couple things, the MSN style alert messages would solve this problem if it would also have windows popup minimized, and I guess that if all else people could look back into their history which is not really that big of a hassle. But this stil...

I think this feature would be a waste of space, the OK button works fine for me. If he starts putting in little things like that we would have to have a 21" monitor running 2048x1536 res to fit all the options on the screen :P All in all I think this would be more clutter than good.

I don't know if you're running an older version of AIM or have changed the registry setting for it but try doing something like hello. It now just spits out hello instead of hello in bold.
