If you're a programmer then you should find your way around sourceforge.net, no? ;)

Yeah. This would be nice for script usage, especially for automating sysadmin tasksusing KiX, WSH, or VB-scripts for example. Another example of usage is that I'm building a little GUI for scanning CD's and putting the results into an MS Access db, and I'd like to be able to create and verify checks...

COM interface?

Do you have any planned support for COM under Windows? Ie, call hksfv file verification, and checksum creation from another application and get the results etc?

1) Creating an SFV for a directory with a huge number of files will cause hkSFV to "hang" while it chugs through the directories looking for files. It hasn't actually crashed, but it can easily take several minutes, and it won't respond at all (or even update its display) during this time...

Would be possible with RARLab's free unrar.dll I guess... But personally, I really don't see the reason why a third party application should mime the functions already existing in WinRAR? ;)

Ok, thanks :) Well I still think it would be neat to have there, a "Re-evaluate checksums" option or something :) Either that, or a cache-function that checks on which drives the checksums were made. If the drive where the *.sfv/*.md5 is executed from differs from the one stored in the cac...

Yes I know.. but since I want to use the cache, and I also have hkSFV to auto-exit, it becomes quite a few mouse-clicks to get this fixed everytime. It would be much easier if this was an option in the explorer shell extension ;)

Anna Nicole Smith, hands down. Her show is not funny. Her life is pathetic. Indeed. I watched one episode and I actually got irritated over how stupid some people can be. Anna Nicole is just truly sad. I know 10-year olds that have more to say to the world than she does. The Osbournes are more of a...

Re-check checksums

When I've made a checksum (MD5) for some files, and then burned them to CD, I want to verify the CD with the help of the checksum file safed on the CD. Since I created the checksum on HD before burning, hkSFV has cached the results for those filenames. I'd like a shell-extension option where one cou...

File sorting when creating checksums (not crucial)

The order in which hkSFV sorts files when creating checksums doesn't seem to be the same as Windows Explorer. This is no problem except when visually comparing files in hkSFV and Explorer... The problem might be related to files having dots - "." in the filenames (besides a filesuffix, tha...

Email me at kottemakt@hotmail.com and I can translate it into swedish. ...or me :) I REALLY liked your application. You should "market" this utility more, it's simply the best, but it was kinda hard to find ;). It does exactly what it should do, it's small, neat, and convenient. Good codi...
