It appears that AIM is an integral part of Netscape 6x, i.e., there is no separate aim.exe file. How does one use AIM+ in this situation?

In Netscape 6 they completely changed the way AIM works with Netscape. Instead of being a seperate program, it's integrated as "Netscape Messenger" instead of AIM. It allows you to contact AIM and AOL users, but it's not quite AIM anymore.
AIM+ will not work with the Netscape 6 Messenger. You'll have to install AIM seperately to continue using AIM+.
Oh yeah, Netscape sucks, use IE ).
