Imitation AIM+
Well, obviously I'm extremely slow, but two days prior to AIM+ v.3.0's release, another "programmer" released his version of AIM+ under a different name fully compatiable with the newest version of AIM, with more features including window tabs, and even more logging features.
I just got back from a four-day vacation so I was oblivious of all of this, but if no one was aware of this, I just wanted to bring everyone's attention to this.
I'd like to remain unbiased through all of this, but the site where this "new" program is coming from has a mild degree of AIM+ flaming and the fact that the program is practically AIM+ for the newer version of AIM disturbs me. I'm just wondering if Big-O Software is aware of this fact.

info:
i know everything about the program, i could go on and on about it
but to sum it up, its aim+ with extra features, but they are poorly coded
all its good for is 5.x compatibility
i posted about this before, but it was removed because mark and ryan had to discuss it, they never un hid it, but i wasnt supporting it, just announcing its existance because i thought the public might want a program with the capabilities promised by aim+
anyways, i hope this topic doesnt get removed too

Re: Imitation AIM+
Maybe he's talking about something so obvious that we're all just missing it? The only AIM add-on that I know of that is fully compatible with the latest version of AIM is DeadAIM. I don't know why he wouldn't come out and say it seeing that there are multiple posts about DeadAIM on the board, but maybe that's it?'Commie'kaze wrote:Well, obviously I'm extremely slow, but two days prior to AIM+ v.3.0's release, another "programmer" released his version of AIM+ under a different name fully compatiable with the newest version of AIM, with more features including window tabs, and even more logging features.
