I need to know more about both of your setups. I have an idea what the problem may be. Neither of you have used my viewer before, have you? What OSs are you using? Lastly, check the following values in your registry (go to Start | Run... type "regedit" (no quotes) and press enter):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Big-O\AIM+\
--Anything that starts with "HisView"
--"LogDir"

I have a feeling my viewer is getting caught in an error trap either because it can't find your history or because it failed to create a registry value.

now i get a message that pops up..n says i had a pw for a older version of the history viewer..but i never had a older version.....and it tells me to enter da old pw..

Well I just installed it, no problems, I like it . I hope you got my referel to Neopets. I used to play that, had a million neopoints too (stockmarket) but I didn't like the advertising. I hope you're getting lots of neopets stuff for making this program. It's really great.

I was wondering if there was a way to import my history from GAIM?

Tell me more about GAIM and I'll see if I can add support. If it stores the history location in the registry, the path to that key would be useful.

As for the neopets stuff, I only have 6 referrals thus far. That's rather disappointing considering over 1000 copies of various versions of the viewer have been downloaded here. I used to have a million neopoints too, but I spent them all on Sarah (see signature).

does the viewer go to the current session or not if clicked from the IM window? if not, it should, thats convenient
