smart blocking

I'd love to have an addon that would give more blocking options. The main thing I'd like to see is something that would temporarily block people who IM you while having a warning level above a set point, and kill the window. The goal being to knock out messages from spam bots. I'd also like an option for whether or not the person was on your buddy list, so you wouldn't be ignoring legitimate messages.

I don't have the skills to create anything like this, so I'm throwin it out there and hoping somebody finds it interesting...

For your temporary blocking features.. this has already been requested. This thread is the closest I could find to what you're talking about. Mark might be able to point you to the correct thread if that doesnt help you any.

As for the second option.. you can specify that in AIM itself.
Under the Privacy options, 'Allow only users on my Buddy List', and 'Allow only the Users Below' -- where then you specify which people can only talk to you, every one becomes blocked.
