AIM Filter as Spyware

I would like to hear what the ditributer of AIM Filter (a program which reportedly has security leaks) has to say about all this.

AIM Filter allows users of AIM to protect themselves from incoming illegal (code wise) content, that would otherwise cause harm to the end client (crash it, cause it to execute arbitrary code, etc).
NOTE: This version has been found to contain spyware and backdoor-behaviour and is not recommended. See the following article for more information about a 'cleaner' version:

The better version is a zip file which has now disappeared and replaced with the old executable version.

the backdoor does not hurt your computer, and it isnt bad, robbie can send a string to you and it gives him your ip, but he only does it if you use the prog on him, or go over board with it, so it is a pretty good program if you stay away from him, but most stuff in the prog is dead

the latest revision to aim filter has had the admin commands removed. it is located at http://www.ssnbc.com/wiz/. The commands would give roobie your ip address throught an im but, he had to be logged in as one of his two screen names.

just dont talk to robbie and he wil never know your SN so he wont send you the string

actually, it can hurt your computer. I havent seen aim filter in like a year, but the last time I had it (the code), there were 2 backdoors. One caused the user to send the author the users IP, but the second command caused AIM Filter to launch 500 copies of calc.exe which usually would lock up your system.

Those were the only 2 backdoors i found, i found no evidence of spyware though (i.e. aim filter sending personal information to a server)

well there where three admin commands the first(aim.admin.1) would send your ip address, (aim.admin.2) would open browser windows to sites 4 sites and (aim.admin.3) the third would send a crash that should to crash another person aim but, the server blocks it. The two screen names that these commands will work with are ERIKSJ0LUND and ROBBIEISHIP. These are the only commands that are a risk to your computer and there not really a big risk.

I am a friend on robbie's and we talk and everyone use to be an admin on each other. after people starting hexing it and using his features he made it only for him and another friend. the commands opened porno, got ip for misusing, and opened calculators. these were for his use for people misusing them. there were also packets sent for him getting modchip money for every amount on seconds. http://www.ssnbc.com/wiz , it's on his site and now the revision without those commands. he released the source a while ago and only a few commands work. don't talk about him if you can't back it up [/url]

theres a supposedly backdoor free one editted by w00w00, his site is like w00w00.com or something, i downloaded it but there were no kick commands in the list so it was useless
