what kinda firewall are you using

I have a Linksys router. I just told AIM to Use port 55 and told my router to pass 55 strate to my computer

if you can access your router. do the same

i have my im connect to the server on port 53, the firewall thinks it's running a dns query and aol's server runs on every port so it works.
